Due to the "toy crisis" in the beginning of the 1980s GUISVAL decided to release 2 low cost series - the "Serie Club" and the "Serie Junior". The Club series came in 3 waves. The 1st wave came in 1981, the 2nd wave in 1986 and the last wave in 1989 or 1990. All contained "simplified" models with no "extra features", dark windows that hide the non-existant interior of the cars and no doors that can be opened. The 1st wave contained existing but simplified models such as the Mustang or Buggy but also new models such as the Porsche 936. Some models still had a metal base and some already a cheaper plastic base. Whereas the cat#s of the 1st wave were a continuation of the Campeon cat#s (#83-#99), the 2nd wave had a complete new kind of cat# - a 3digit number starting with #221 up to #247. The 2nd wave from 1986 contained new models only and came with stickers on the cars and black plastic bases only. The last wave came with decals instead of stickers. Most of the Serie Club was sold without classical Guisval box and was sold straight out of the shop display. The models that were sold with box are more rare. The 1st wave mostly came in green boxes without cat# although the models had numbers inside the GUISVAL catalog. The boxes of the 2nd wave are identical with the boxes of the more expensive Serie Campeon with a white base. The 3rd wave never came inside classical Guisval boxes but blisters instead.
